Wordpress 2.7 and Its New Looks & Features
Wordpress 2.7 will be released soon with a lot of new features and most importantly with an all new dashboard. Wordpress recently released some screenshots of the re-designed dashboard and I can tell you, it looks amazing (check out the images below). You can instantly get the feeling that the new structure will be more user friendly and that seems to be one of the goals of the Wordpress team as well. Among other features (which are listed below), the most used screens will now be just a click or two away in the new version.

Also a QuickPress section has been added right on the dashboard for more easy and convenient posting. Getting a glimpse at the overall statistics has become more easier and user friendlier. Another very important change have been made which I should’ve mentioned earlier is the menu structure. No more horizontal menu structure. The menu has now been displayed in vertical on the left hand side.
Overall I think the new design looks looks very fresh and intuitive and as I mentioned before, very user friendly. And it’s coming out with a lot more new features. Though I was expecting to see built in spam protection for comments. I am sure that’s in the to-do lists of the Wordpress team.
