October Stats for Wordpress
I couldn’t stop myself from posting it here. Some amazing statistics of Wordpress for the month of October. What an achievement and if you think of it seriously then you’ll see what an amazing service they’ve got in place. Man! Just look at the numbers. October was also the month of hitting the billion impressions mark. Anyway, here’re the stats (from Wordpress blog):

Sneak Peak at Wordpress 2.7: Video
The upcoming Wordpress 2.7 is a long waited one not because the release date hasn’t been met but because its all new looks and lots of additional features. We’ve already seen the list of new features added to this latest version. Also tested the Wordpress 2.7 Beta 3 which was released to public on the weekend and I am still as much excited as I was when the first announcements of 2.7 was made. Which is why I haven’t even upgraded most of my blogs to the 2.6.3 and counting on days for the final release of 2.7.

WordPress 2.7 Beta 3 Released
WordPress 2.7 Beta 3 has been released on the weekend. There has been another 160 more changes from the last Beta 2 release. You can download it now from here Wordpress 2.7 Beta 3. If you’ve already downloaded and installed the previous beta releases then you can just upgrade to this latest release from the menu, Tools -> Update. Here’s the snapshot of the changes:

Wordpress 2.7 and Its New Looks & Features
Wordpress 2.7 will be released soon with a lot of new features and most importantly with an all new dashboard. Wordpress recently released some screenshots of the re-designed dashboard and I can tell you, it looks amazing (check out the images below). You can instantly get the feeling that the new structure will be more user friendly and that seems to be one of the goals of the Wordpress team as well. Among other features (which are listed below), the most used screens will now be just a click or two away in the new version.
